All of this brings us right to the problem at hand. Google Play, the place storing all the games for Android is SWAMPED with games. We are talking about the game Asciid by BPGames. The game's premise is simple and complicated at the same time. The player must survive a host of vicious traps of various kinds (from saw blades to huge swinging axes to spring traps - you get the idea ...), find a key and insert it into the door, all at breakneck speeds with the slightest mistake promising the player's character a gruesome death ...

Now, several things make this game exciting and interesting, much more than a lot of comparable Google Play games. The first one is the dimension walking the player's character can do. In other words, the character can instantly move between the light and dark areas of the level, merging with the dark to become a white character and vice a versa. Believe us, this actually opens your mind to moves and gameplay we have NEVER seen on any other game.

The second thing that makes this game stand out is its complexity. Despite having simple graphics and a 8 bit music score (with most levels sporting only three colors - black, white and red when the character gets splashed all over) this is a sophisticated game. Passing through the levels is not easy. The player must have quick and nimble fingers but most of all, he or she must plan his or her moves in advance.

The last and perhaps the most important thing is is originality. This game has a new and exciting twist to a familiar formula, turning it to a new experience to ANY player. And even though the game has attractive graphics and music, complex gameplay and can be played for a long time because is has random endless levels that change over it, its originality is perhaps its best trait.

Let's think about. Every smartphone has a great, high resolution screen, vast computing power and intuitive touch controls in addition to tilt control. Of course, the fact that we always carry it with us just makes it more useful as a gaming platform. Naturally, Google Play is one of the major reasons of the smartphone's success as a gaming platform.

There are millions of games on Google Play, from complex strategy games that require hours of meticulous preparation before the player can attack an enemy player to fast and simple arcade and adventure games that are designed to let us enjoy and have fun now, this minute instead of waiting ...

Of course, the sheer number of games making choosing the good ones difficult, which is exactly why Android Review Center exists, to show case the really good games.

This time the game Penguin Run, Cartoon by Universal Games has won this honor.

Penguin Run is all about a penguin in the arctic circle that must run and dodge various obstacles while catching fish and other goodies. The premise of the game is intentionally quite simple because the enjoyment of playing the game comes from its simplicity.

The game and the characters all all quite cute and after playing with the app for a while the player will become attached to those cute little marine birds that must navigate through all the obstacles. The fact that there are several penguins to be played just makes it more fun. 

In arcade games will look for speed of playing and running the app, since good arcade games can and should be played immediately, for instance when waiting for the bus or a two minute compilation to finish. Penguin Run loads really fast and the running beings. The controls are also simple to operate and allow the player to concentrate on the game itself, instead on various control problems.

The game's graphics are very inviting. Simple on one hand yet all convey the feeling the character really is running in cold regions, complete with snow covered trees and even snow.

Nintendo to Let Fans Catch 'Em All On Android

Sometimes, we feel like we spend half of our lives waiting around. Whether we are waiting in line, at the doctor's office, or for the bus, we need something to keep us busy. One of our favorite ways to kill time is to play games using our Android phones. The mobile platform offers one of the widest varieties of gaming experiences you will ever find and, it's a cheap and fun way to stay occupied.

It seems like everyone uses their mobile phones for gaming now. We always see someone playing Candy Crush or Angry Birds at the bank or the cafe, and game companies are taking notice, too. Popular franchises that were once the domain of consoles like the Playstation or powerful PCs are now available for phones and gaming will never been the same. Classics like Final Fantasy VII are now available for Android and iOS and popular franchises like Fallout are making mobile versions or complements for their console games, too.

Even Nintendo, the makers of the 3DS and longtime guardians of mobile gaming, is beginning to develop its titles for smart phones. It was reported by Fortune earlier this year that the company was backing away from its "Quality of Life" project in favor of devoting more time to mobile development.

The first official Nintendo gaming app hit the App Store and Google Play on Sept. 1. The new game, titled Pokémon Shuffle, is a free-to-play app with a gameplay style similar to Bejeweled or traditional slots. In fact, these themed variations on classic gameplay styles have been taking the mobile world by storm with games based on many of our favorite characters and shows popping up across the mobile marketplace. Betfair's arcade platform offers variations on familiar classics like slot machines and card games. And they accomplish this by using themes based on pop-culture characters, comics, movies and TV shows, including this one for Deal or No Deal.

Apparently the new game is only the beginning for Nintendo and Pokémon on Android devices. The company has announced a new augmented reality game, Pokémon Go, that will task players with catching the lovable pocket monsters in real world locations using their phones. The game is scheduled for a 2016 release for both Android and iOS and was developed alongside Niantic and The Pokémon Company. Niantic is a subsidiary of Google and developed Ingress, another popular location-based game.

With more new, powerful phones being released this year and bigger game developers entering the market, it is definitely an exciting time to be an Android user. We can't wait to hear about more of our favorite Nintendo franchises like Mario and Zelda coming to mobile phones, and it looks like we might not have to wait too long.
